It is so nostalgic to watch again
something that you had watched when you are still in kindergarten. That is how
I felt when I watch Finding Nemo. Finding Nemo is a American computer-animated comedy-drama
adventure film that released in 2003.
Basically, the genre of this film
is love between family members. It can be seen when Marlin an adult clown fish
tried his best to take care of his son after his partner, Carol died after a
vicious barracuda attacked their home. Marlin being overprotective to his son
because his son has a ‘lucky’ fin due to the injury during the attack which
limit his swimming ability
.
Nemo was a little naughty clown
fish. He sneaked away from the reef and unfortunately he was caught by a scuba
diver. While attempting to save Nemo, Marlin met with his new friend, Dory who
suffered a short-term memory loss.
In my point of view Marlin became
such an overprotective father toward Nemo was solely for Nemo’s sake. It is
because he really loved Nemo up to the stage he didn’t want Nemo to be in
dangerous situation. It is all because of the nightmare that he experienced a
few years ago that always haunted himself and always made himself to think that
‘ ocean is dangerous ‘.
Besides, I also believe Marlin
became an overprotective father was because of his sense of responsibility. He
felt that he carried all the responsibility to take care of Nemo on his
shoulder especially when Nemo’s mother had died. Unfortunately, Nemo
misunderstood his pure intention.
To sum up, I think that the moral
of the story is every child need to obey their parents because everything that
they done is for their children benefit.
